AAFCPAs Partner, Jeffrey Mead to Serve as Manning School of Business Executive-Faculty-in-Residence for UMass Lowell
AAFCPAs is excited to announce that Jeffrey Mead, CPA, CGMA has been appointed and agrees to serve as a Manning School of Business Executive-Faculty-in-Residence at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) for academic years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. UMass Lowell is a nationally ranked public research university committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. Jeffrey will donate his time, talent, and expertise to better the strategic goals of the College, and to help prepare students to succeed in college and to become lifelong learners and informed citizens in a global environment.
“Jeffrey is an admired and distinguished alumnus with many years of impactful service on several levels to the University, and it will be an honor to have him serve as a Manning School of Business Executive-Faculty-in-Residence,” said Michael E. Vayda, Ph.D., UMass Lowell Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. “Our university community will benefit greatly from extended interaction with Jeffrey on campus.”
UMass Lowell and AAFCPAs have been partnering together in the business community for many years. Eleven UMass Lowell alumni currently experience post-graduate success at AAFCPAs as accountants. Jeffrey will act as an ambassador for the College, promoting UMass and leveraging his networks to connect students, alumni, faculty, and staff to the business community.
Jeffrey is a leader of AAFCPAs’ growing commercial practice, and is focused on providing proactive tax, assurance, and advisory solutions for privately-held businesses. Jeffrey is a thought leader in accounting, presenting training sessions to the New England finance community on various topics including: how big data and analytics are transforming the assurance process, implementation of accounting standards updates, and understanding financial statements in collaboration with the Boston Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI-Boston), the American Accounting Association (AAA), and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. (MCLE | New England). He is based at AAFCPAs’ Boston office.
