Tracy LeMaire Honored as Woman to Watch
AAFCPAs is excited to announce Tracy LeMaire, CPA, MBA will be honored as a recipient of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs’ (MSCPA) 10th Annual Women to Watch Awards. These prestigious awards honor women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession, their organizations, community, and in the development of women as leaders. Tracy will be recognized in the Emerging Leaders category.
After graduation from UNH in 2010, Tracy quickly developed into a confident business professional with a true passion for advising AAFCPAs’ clients. She was promoted to Manager in December of 2015. Tracy’s example of leadership, character, and pursuit of excellence has benefited many in our growing CPA and consulting firm.
Tracy gained valuable exposure at the beginning of her career, working in the disciplines of both audit and tax, and for diverse clients, including for-profit and nonprofit organizations of various sizes from many different industries. This experience helped Tracy to confirm her passion for commercial company assurance as her specialty. She is an active member of AAFCPAs’ Revenue Recognition Task Force, and Commercial Accounting & Auditing Sub-Committee. In July 2015, Tracy was selected to lead the firm’s compilation and review department and is responsible for monitoring compilation and review standards changes and training fellow team members. Tracy also has Business Valuation experience, and is often called upon to support partners in assisting clients with leadership succession.
Tracy is a founding member of AAFCPAs’ Women’s Opportunity Network (WON), a resource for ideas and solutions for keeping women joyful in their work at AAF, and to nurture their growth as professionals, leaders, and mentors. Tracy and her husband welcomed their first child last year, and she is committed to finding (and helping others find) a healthy balance between home life, family, and career. She is a shining example of the core values of our firm and a key reason we are retaining more women in management positions.
She is a career coach through AAFCPAs’ Professional Accounting Development program, and an in-house trainer on diverse assurance topics, including the complexities of preparing clients for the new Revenue Recognition Standards. Tracy is also a member of the MSCPA Academic and Career Development Committee, and Young Professionals Advisory Group. She is committed to advocating for students and assisting in their career development, as well as attracting, inspiring, and engaging the next generation of CPAs into the accounting profession. She is also a volunteer, finance committee member of the Congregational Church of Grafton, MA, serving as a fiduciary responsible for budget oversight, and providing strategic direction and advice on financial aspects of new and existing programs and fundraising initiatives to ensure a promising future.
“Tracy receives praise from all levels of professionals at AAFCPAs,” said Carla McCall, AAFCPAs’ Co-Managing Partner. “Tracy is a natural leader and has a special skill for building lasting relationships with clients. Her AAFCPAs peers and juniors frequently look to her for direction and consider her feedback to be most helpful. As businesses grow in complexity, Tracy’s value to our clients continues to soar. She epitomizes our firm’s motto: great minds | great hearts.”
Tracy’s enthusiasm, passion, and motivation has a tremendously positive impact on fellow team members and the culture of AAFCPAs. She is a role model for all young professionals and is truly deserving of this award.
Tracy will share the stage this year with AAFCPAs’ Partner Janice O’Reilly, CPA, CGMA, who will be honored in the Experienced Leader category.
This year’s winners were selected by a panel of past award recipients and MSCPA leadership, and will be recognized at the Women’s Leadership Summit on October 25 at the Westin Waterfront, Boston. AAFCPAs will host tables at the event and our proud team will lead the standing ovations!
