AAFCPAs’ Raises $1350 for Mental Health at Summer Outing
AAFCPAs recently enjoyed the opportunity to again connect in person with colleagues at our annual staff outing at Kimball Farm. It was so gratifying to be together again, and to hug and laugh after this crazy year+ we’ve had.
Our outing includes an annual fundraiser activity to support nonprofits that make our world a better place. The proceeds raised from this year’s fundraiser will be donated to Catholic Charities’ Family Counseling and Guidance Center.
The health and economic crisis caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has caused profound mental health challenges for people of all ages. Professional mental health counselors play a critical role in providing care and guidance for those struggling with trauma and mental illness.
About the Fundraiser
This year, AAFCPAs team members donated money to persuade volunteers, including Partners & Managers, to jump on a mechanical bull. The bull ride provided entertainment for all, and a prize for the person who could ride for the longest. It also gives us the opportunity to present Catholic Charities with this gift, and to reinforce the importance of mental health and well-being and reduce the stigma associated with seeking mental health treatment.
Our employees donated $675 during this year’s fundraiser, combined with a match of $675 from AAFCPAs’ Charitable Foundation.
AAFCPAs celebrates the many nonprofits that enrich our lives by committing to donate 10% of our net income annually back to nonprofits.
