From the Desk of Jonathan Bloom
My big news “on and off the desk” is…
I’ve been promoted to Partner!
I’m proud of the achievement and humbled by the outpouring of respect and support from my colleagues, clients, family, and friends.
It’s been an exciting journey—from my roots as a trader at one of the world’s biggest brokerage firms and now as your Partner, providing financial advice.
It’s an honor to be part of the AAFCPAs partnership and this people-first culture. This promotion gives me a seat at the table for exciting strategic business decisions. What doesn’t change, however, is my client-service role and commitment to you as your wealth advisor.
Client interactions and crafting custom financial plans are the very core of what brings me professional fulfillment. It’s true, not all these interactions are smooth sailing; we encounter economic and market uncertainty, geopolitical conflicts, and health crises. But it’s in these moments that my purpose drives me forward. My role and the source of my joy is being here with you on this journey and helping you navigate through both the challenges and successes that life brings.
The destination of this journey is fulfillment: accomplishing life’s purpose and leaving a legacy. That purpose and legacy are as unique as our fingerprints. And on this path, there are decisions that affect our trajectory.
Life is a balance. You must save and keep the financial plan in mind but, at the same time, seize opportunities to invest in joy along the way.
Let’s look at Jon and Jeanne Bloom for example.
The promotion to Partner comes with an opportunity for Jeanne and I to reassess our financial plan. (I do practice what I preach, see my recent blog post!) Additionally, Jolie, our youngest daughter, will start kindergarten next year. So we will reclaim daycare costs. Is now time to invest in joy?
I’ve been driving the same car for more than 10 years. I’d love a new one—and I finally have one in mind! As we weigh the big picture, I’ll let you know where we land on my new car dreams!
As always, please reach out with any questions. Enjoy the holidays and may the season and new year bring you peace, hope, and joy!
