Angelina Lu and Richard O’Neil Earn IFRS Certification

AAFCPAs is pleased to announce that Angelina (Angie) Lu, MSA, CPA and Richard (Rich) O’Neil, CPA have earned the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) certification from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA). Each brings auditing expertise that adheres to IFRS, able to assist clients with unique financial reporting requirements that fall within international accounting regulations.
This certification is awarded to Angie and Rich in recognition of their specialized knowledge and skills needed to help businesses navigate the complexities of international financial accounting and reporting. Certification is awarded to those who demonstrate expertise in the assessment of standard-setting proposals from IASB and FASB and in the ways in which they affect an organization’s financial reporting.
About Angelina Lu, Manager
Angie is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Commercial Audit Practice, providing assurance and consulting solutions to AAFCPAs’ diverse multi-state and international clients. This includes guidance on scaling through business growth along with effective internal controls and risk management. She is an active alumnus at Suffolk University and a proud graduate of Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Angie is fluent in both English and Chinese Mandarin.
About Rich O’Neil, Partner
Rich is also a leader in AAFCPAs’ Commercial Audit practice. As audit partner, he provides counsel on internal controls and opportunities to add efficiencies. He also leads internal training sessions on relevant topics including accounting standards updates along with their interpretation and implementation. Rich holds a B.A. in Accounting with a minor in economics, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Isenberg School of Management. He is a past recipient of AAFCPAs’ Joel Aronson Character Award.
