McCall Joins BBJ for Mentoring Monday Again in 2025
Mentoring Monday Highlights Female Leaders and Community Impact
Leadership and empowering future generations are central to AAFCPAs’ mission. Carla McCall, CPA, CGMA, managing partner of AAFCPAs and chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), embodies this commitment. Since 2018, Carla has served as a mentor at the Boston Business Journal’s Mentoring Monday event, a signature gathering designed to connect hundreds of Boston area women in business with leaders who inspire and guide them.
The 12th annual Mentoring Monday event will take place on February 24th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. This dynamic afternoon includes speed mentoring, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities. Participants will also visit the Women’s Village, showcasing local women-owned businesses, and cap off the day with a Women in Power Happy Hour to celebrate accomplishments and connections. This special event takes place in 40 Business Journal markets on the same day across the nation, from Boston to Hawaii. This means at least 200 women will be coached in every market for a total of 10,000 women nationally.
Carla’s dedication to leadership and community shines through in her mentoring efforts. Recognized as one of Accounting Today’s 2024 Top 100 Most Influential People and named one of the Most Powerful Women in the Accounting Profession for five consecutive years, Carla views mentorship as a cornerstone of progress.
Under Carla’s guidance, AAFCPAs has cultivated a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and growth. Initiatives such as the Women’s Opportunity Network, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs, and the Innovation Lab illustrate the firm’s commitment to fostering an environment where individuals thrive. These values align seamlessly with the mission of Mentoring Monday, making the event a meaningful extension of AAFCPAs’ dedication to giving back. We are proud to participate in initiatives that elevate female leaders, strengthen the Greater Boston community, and foster connections that create lasting impact.
