Reminder: UDS+ Reporting Requirements Begin February 18
As a reminder, the new Uniform Data System (UDS+) reporting requirements go into effect on February 18, 2025. These changes require health centers to submit some de-identified 2024 UDS patient-level data using Health Level Seven International (HL7)-developed Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) R4 standards.
To help you navigate these updates, we previously published a detailed overview, including what you need to know and steps to prepare. You may read the full blog here.
Key Details
- Reporting Period: Opens February 18, 2025, and closes April 30, 2025.
- Submission Requirements: Includes specific legacy UDS data elements, with de-identified patient-level data reported through the HL7 FHIR R4 framework.
- Resources Available: HRSA’s UDS Training and Technical Assistance webpages include tools to guide you through the process.
