Kevin Quinn, CPA
Director, Assurance
Kevin is responsible for planning and executing financial audits for sophisticated nonprofit organizations including community development corporations (CDCs) and their affordable housing development projects, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), multiservice human and social service providers, and early education and care providers.
He is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Community Impact Human Services Practice and remains up to date on federal (Uniform Guidance) and state-specific financial reporting requirements and forms including the Massachusetts Uniform Financial Report (UFR). Kevin advises clients on the impact of changing federal and state regulations, the interpretation of program results, and the importance of cost allocation methodologies on outcomes. As part of AAFCPAs’ Affordable Housing Practice, he assists clients with optimizing with applicable tax credits and debt financing programs, including New Markets, Low Income Housing, and Renewable Energy credits.
Kevin leads audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards, FASB and GASB requirements, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Massachusetts Uniform Financial Statement (UFR) filing requirements. He also has extensive experience providing guidance to nonprofit clients on the preparation and filing of their Federal Forms 990 to ensure sound governance is demonstrated to donors and the public.
