Carla McCall, MP Shares Insight on Creating a Roadmap for a Diverse, Equitable, Inclusive Firm
AAFCPAs Carla McCall, CPA, CGMA will serve on a managing partner panel on September 23rd, in collaboration with PrimeGlobal and Thomson Reuters, sharing her experiences and insight to help participants understand how to build their firm’s roadmap to a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiative.
AAFCPAs began our DEI journey back in 2011 with the establishment of our Women’s Opportunity Network, which we attribute to our success in moving the needle from 25% women leaders in 2011, to 48% female leaders in 2021. Today, we have expanded our efforts to focus on workplace inclusion, workplace diversity, and sustainability & accountability as it relates to the many other characteristics that make up our diverse client base and 270+ member professional team. These characteristics may include—but are not limited to—race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and neurotype.
AAFCPAs is ahead of the curve in our DEI initiatives, but we remain committed to working as a global community to find new ways to think about and talk about diversity. We continue to learn new skills to enable equity and inclusion in the workplace. And we continue to identify and implement scalable ways to ensure that our DEI initiatives avoid common mistakes and are solid and sustainable.
