Rachel Lefevre
Consulting Controller
Rachel is a member of AAFCPAs’ Outsourced Accounting & Fractional CFO practice, providing accounting infrastructure set-up, and high-quality, cloud-based accounting services for nonprofits. She oversees the execution of accounting services, manages deliverables that require higher-level expertise, and relieves clients of the burden of day-to-day transactional activities.
Rachel collaborates with new clients to right-size people, process, and systems to modernize their finance function and to address evolving needs as the organization scales. She helps clients migrate to cloud-based systems, and ensures processes are efficient, effective, and achieve adequate internal control to mitigate risks.
Rachel supervises staff in the execution of day-to-day transactional accounting procedures, including: processing of AR/AP, payroll, and monthly general ledger account reconciliations. She provides informative monthly or quarterly financial packages, featuring critical financial data, which enables management to make data-informed decisions. She provides budgeting and cash flow projections, budget versus actual comparisons, and the associated checks, balances, and financial controls to guide nonprofit performance. She also assists management with regulatory compliance and guidance concerning audit and tax return preparation to ensure optimal presentation to donors, funders, and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Rachel served in the finance function at Human Services Management Corporation, Nashoba Valley Winery, Boston Ballet, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and as a Tax Associate in a Big4 accounting firm.
