Victoria Thompson
Manager
Victoria is responsible for planning and executing financial statement audits for privately held companies and sophisticated nonprofit organizations. She serves a variety of industries, including those in manufacturing, distribution, technology, and multi-service human & social services.
Victoria has extensive experience leading teams in executing audits in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), nonprofit audits conforming to Uniform Guidance/Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards, as well as those with Massachusetts Uniform Financial Statement (UFR) filing requirements.
Victoria assists in the preparation of individual audit plans, and reviews client operating plans to identify new areas of audit significance as appropriate. She provides clear direction and oversight to junior auditors and resolves questions and issues that develop during the audit, referring to management or senior auditors as appropriate.
Victoria is a member of AAFCPAs’ Women’s Opportunity Network. She is currently earning her CPA credential as part of AAFCPAs’ Zip2CPA Program. She is a career coach to junior team members helping them gain technical experience and enhance their career management skills related to Independence, Organization & Time Management, Teamwork, and Communication.
When not serving AAFCPAs’ clients, Victoria is active and outside walking, hiking, and socializing with friend and family.
