It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we announce that Jeanie Gorlovsky-Schepp, Manager, is a recipient of the 2016 Women to Watch Awards, presented by the Massachusetts Society of CPAs in partnership with the AICPA’s Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee. This prestigious award honors women who have made significant contributions to mentoring other professionals, leadership in workplace improvements, community service, and involvement with their alma mater.
“Jeanie started her career at AAFCPAs 13 years ago, and she has developed into a confident professional with a true passion for the mission of our firm,” said Carla McCall, AAFCPAs Co-Managing Partner. “She exemplifies all the traits that are necessary to thrive in public accounting, and grow as a professional, leader and mentor. She consistently looks for ways to contribute more value and service to our clients and community.”
Jeanie carefully balances the vigorous professional responsibilities of an audit manager with her family responsibilities, which include raising her young son, Jacob. As Chair of the firm’s Women’s Opportunity Network (WON), Jeanie is committed to developing creative ways to help women succeed in finding that magic balance between home life, family and career. She is an excellent role model for all young women professionals.
Jeanie serves as a leader and career coach for the firm’s Professional Accountant Development Department (PADD) program, a unique mentoring /group coaching program for new hires that promotes the understanding and development of professional skills needed to be a superior CPA. Jeanie has helped many accounting professionals confirm their passion and has positively impacted the direction of their careers.
Jeanie exemplifies AAF’s Core Values – particularly, Community Service. She sincerely cares about the communities where she lives and works, and thoughtfully shares her time, enthusiasm and expertise with a variety of industry, nonprofit, and alumni organizations.
“Jeanie is a strong example of a leader that does, and will continue to do great things,” adds McCall.
