Program Manager, Career Development & Engagement
Emma (She/Her) is a seasoned human resource manager specializing in learning and development, with a proven track record of creating impactful onboarding and training programs. At the heart of her role, Emma strategizes and implements comprehensive learning plans tailored to enhance the professional growth and compliance knowledge of all team members. She collaborates closely with course vendors to ensure these programs not only meet but exceed industry standards, focusing on key areas such as CPE compliance, and CPA licensure & renewal. Emma also plays a pivotal role in performance management, ensuring that the processes effectively support and reflect the organization’s goals and employee development trajectories.
In addition to her primary responsibilities, Emma manages the firm’s intranet and leads the Communications Committee, helping to establish internal communication protocols, provide training on collaboration systems such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive, and ensuring that all team members are equipped to effectively communicate and collaborate within the organization. She also helps lead AAFCPAs’ Professional Advancement & Development (PAD) program, which provides tools to help early career professionals elevate their career management skills, including communication, organization, teamwork, and independence. Emma is a co-founder of the firm’s E3 Intern Accelerator program, a pioneering initiative designed to broaden opportunities for community college students by providing them with critical exposure and experience in the professional world.
Emma’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment is evident through her collaborative involvement in various organizational committees. As a member of the Learning Advisory Committee, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Committee, Onboarding Committee, Tax Training Committee, and Tech Committee, Emma ensures that learning and development strategies are holistically integrated and aligned with the firm’s cultural objectives and technological advancements. With a passion for driving educational excellence and operational success, Emma continues to be a key asset in shaping the educational landscape and culture of AAFCPAs.
Emma is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a SHRM Certified Professional. Outside of work, Emma spends her time volunteering, crafting ceramics, biking through scenic routes, and enjoying podcasts.
