Justin is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Community & Economic Development practice, where he specializes in advising community development corporations (CDCs), affordable housing developers, Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs), quasi-governmental agencies, and other specialized lending organizations. Justin brings subject matter expertise in tax credit-based financing including low-income housing, new markets, federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits, “twinning” deals, and projects combining credits with various levels of debt and rental assistance subsidies. He advises clients throughout their project’s lifecycle, from deal structuring through tax credit compliance and investor exit.
Justin is also a leader within AAFCPAs’ Health & Human Services practice, specializing in multi-service health and human services and behavioral health providers. He brings extensive experience with government contracts and audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance Standards and state-specific Financial Reporting, such as the MA Uniform Financial Report (UFR). Justin advises in the areas of endowment activity, mergers and acquisitions, capital campaigns, internal control enhancements, and operational budgeting and forecasting.
Justin is a 2022 recipient of the firm’s peer-nominated Growth Mindset Award, recognized as one who seeks collaborators, embraces challenges, and proactively seeks opportunities to learn, grow, and improve. He is an in-house trainer, mentor, career coach, and former leader of the firm’s Professional Advancement & Development (PAD) program. He has been a well-respected member of AAFCPAs’ team since 2011.
