Katie Belanger, CPA

Katie provides audit, tax, and consulting solutions to sophisticated nonprofit organizations, including multi-service human & social service providers, residential and day treatment agencies, early education and care (EEC) agencies, and independent schools. She has extensive experience auditing nonprofit organizations in accordance with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards as well as those with Uniform Financial Statement filing requirements.
She provides best practice recommendations on operational and internal control systems and processes to help clients mitigate fraud risks and gain operational efficiencies. She advises clients on compliance with federal and state grant requirements and optimizing cost allocation methodologies and reimbursements for the best financial results. Katie coordinates with AAFCPAs’ multidisciplinary team, including in-house Tax Consulting Attorneys and healthcare reimbursement consultants, as needed to bring the very best appropriate talent to our clients.
Katie is an active member of AAFCPAs’ Innovation Committee, and a member of the winning team in the firm’s inaugural Innovation Lab Changemaker Challenge. She is committed to championing our culture of continuous improvement and embracing change. Katie is an alumna of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce/ Simmons School of Management 2013-2014 Women’s Leadership Program, and a 2014 recipient of the MSCPA’s Annual Women to Watch Awards. She has been honored for making an outstanding contribution to the accounting profession, to her community and place of employment, and to the development of women as leaders. She is President of the Executive Committee of AAFCPAs’ Women’s Opportunity Network (WON), dedicated to uphold AAFCPAs core values, and emphasize the importance of creating and maintaining a work environment that promotes diversity.
