Kimberly is a member of AAFCPAs’ Outsourced Accounting & Fractional CFO practice, providing cloud-based outsourced accounting & financial consulting for privately-held companies. She serves diverse businesses, including cannabis dispensaries and cultivation facilities, construction contractors and real estate developers, and emerging technology companies.
Kimberly provides infrastructure set-up and process automation as well as knowledgeable financial leadership and accounting oversight. She creates systems and processes for analyzing and reporting financial information, ensures clients follow legal and regulatory requirements, and recommends improvements to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and internal control.
Kimberly consults with clients on financial and operational projects as needed, including assisting leadership in preparing annual budgets and tracking financial data, accounting for stock options, work in progress analysis, benchmarking, insurance options review, contract negotiations, and more. She works collaboratively with AAFCPAs’ multi-disciplinary team, as appropriate, to ensure the full depth of the firm’s resources are leveraged to meet clients’ evolving needs. She coordinates with clients’ tax accountants and auditors, and keeps records organized and readily available for examination.
Kimberly helps clients right-size their finance function by supervising junior accountants in the execution of transactional accounting activities. This includes oversight of accounts payable & cash disbursements, payroll processing, invoicing & tracking of accounts receivable, processing of credit card transactions, journal entry recording, general ledger account reconciliations & maintenance of subsidiary records, and monthly closing procedures.
Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Kimberly gained extensive experience in accounting operations within diverse commercial businesses, which gave her insight in budgeting, cost control, and accounting systems. She developed a passion for analyzing & presenting data to help business owners make better financial decisions.
