Mary-Kate is an experienced career development professional with expertise helping professionals navigate their careers and obtain meaningful intentional experiences that align with their passions.
Mary-Kate describes her role as a career advisor and guide, coaching professionals on career decision making and advocating for themselves. There are endless directions for accountants to go, including tax, audit, corporate accounting, business process improvement, data analytics, IT security, and more—and the disciplines in the profession continue to grow. She helps AAFCPAs’ team members explore all the profession has to offer so they may remain happy, productive, and engaged.
Mary-Kate helps lead AAFCPAs’ Professional Advancement & Development (PAD) program, the firm’s one-year incubator program providing new professionals with tools to enhance their own career management skills. She also provides Talent Advising and customized, 1-1 career support for professionals with 0-3 years’ experience. She helps professionals understand what they need to do their best work and be the drivers of their careers. She provides on-going support for executing career development & professional brand plans and helps to ensure people are getting the developmental feedback and training they need to succeed.
Mary-Kate is a TypeCoach and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)-certified professional, committed to helping people realize their potential, improve self-awareness, and make constructive use of personality differences. She uses this expertise to boost performance and enhance team members’ communication, decision-making, collaboration, and more.
Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Mary-Kate gained over 10 years’ experience in career counseling, including as a Career Services Manager for L.E.K. Consulting and as Recruiting Relations Manager at Harvard Business School.
