Pamela Seymour, CPA
Consulting Controller
Pamela is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Outsourced Accounting and Fractional CFO (OAFC) Solutions practice, providing outsourced, cloud-based finance & accounting support for diverse nonprofits.
Pamela is recognized as a motivated leader, managing financial reporting deadlines, streamlining internal processes, encouraging team collaboration, and implementing new, cloud-based accounting systems. Her areas of expertise include financial reporting and analysis, budget development, internal control assessments, audit preparation, as well as administration leadership for human resource, IT and property management.
As a key member of a nonprofit finance function, Pamela manages support staff to ensure work is properly allocated and delivered to the client in a timely and accurate manner. She oversees transactional processing, including accounts receivable and payable, check disbursements, and the reconciliation process to the general ledger. Pamela also provides processing and documentation for grant tracking, revenue recognition, departmental/divisional reporting, or other areas of need. She assists in the creation of annual budgets and monitors cash flow. She reviews and approves the preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and benchmarking metrics for Executive Management and Boards of Directors, which assists in strategic decision making. Pamela is a career coach at AAFCPAs supporting junior team members to advocate and achieve their individual career goals.
Pamela has over 30 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial, and operational management within small to medium-sized organizations. Prior to joining AAFCPAs, she gained experience leading nonprofit finance functions serving as a Senior Vice President of Finance & Administration in a regional business association, as an entrepreneur leading a private accounting and consulting practice, and as an audit manager in a global public accounting firm.
