Rich has extensive experience leading financial statement audits for privately held companies, including technology, SaaS, and manufacturers / distributors.
Rich takes a genuine interest in his clients, and he invests time and energy to understand the full context of their situation. He provides an objective look at operations and processes, and he advises Senior Management on best practice internal controls and opportunities to add efficiency. He helps ensure that clients are confident in their application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and that their financial records show prospective investors that the company has followed standard accounting practices. Additionally, Rich coordinates closely with AAFCPAs’ Tax Practice to ensure clients have the resources and expert advice, needed to achieve significant tax savings and predict tax expenditures.
Rich earned an International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Certificate from American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He has expertise auditing clients that follow IFRS and assisting clients with unique financial reporting requirements in line with international accounting regulations.
Rich is an active member of several firm committees, including the Accounting & Assurance (A&A) Committee, the Revenue Recognition Task Force, the Lease Task Force, and the Information Technology (IT) Committee. He is dedicated to keeping the firm and clients apprised of regulatory changes, new pronouncements, and advances in technology to ensure optimal performance. He is a performance manager, and leads internal trainings on complex topics, including interpreting and implementing complex accounting standards updates (ASUs).
Rich is a 2021 recipient of the AAFCPAs’ partner-nominated Joel Aronson Character Award, in recognition of his dedication to our clients’ well-being and generosity of his time towards others, including fellow team members and communities in need.
