AAFCPAs Participated in #GivingTuesday to Celebrate and Encourage Giving

The Firm is very excited to announce that AAFCPAs participated in #GivingTuesday, November 29th, 2016, a global day dedicated to giving!
Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday!  Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities.
AAFCPAs celebrates the many nonprofits that enrich lives in our community by committing to donate 10% of our net income annually back to nonprofits.  Read more. >>
We joined the #GivingTuesday movement, with a commitment to encourage giving in the days leading up to November 29th!

How did AAFCPAs take part in the spirit of giving?

• AAFCPAs matched employee gifts 1:1 (100%) to any charitable nonprofit 501(c)(3). This was a wonderful opportunity and motivator for employees to give as much as possible!  This totaled almost $13,000 donated this year through our collective efforts.
• AAFCPAs constructed a Giving Tree wall display in our Westborough office. Our Giving Tree featured individual leaves representing employee/firm donations to charitable organizations.
• We also organized our annual toy donation drive to benefit one of our nonprofit clients, this year collecting art supplies, craft kits, coloring books and crayons for 60 children in need!

#GivingTuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things.  In 2016, AAFCPAs proudly joined millions of people from across the globe in taking part in the spirit of giving!
