Uniform Guidance, Single Audits

Ensure compliance with federal funding requirements and minimize risk with AAFCPAs’ specialized Single Audit services.

Overview

Uniform Guidance / Single Audit for Nonprofits

Nonprofit Organizations that expend $750,000 (currently) or $1,000,000 (New threshold, effective for fiscal years ending September 30, 2025, or later) or more in federal funds in a single fiscal year require a Single Audit, also known as Uniform Guidance (UG) audit.

When an auditee (nonprofit organizations and for-profit entities) expends $750,000 or more Federal awards under only one Federal program and the Federal program’s statutes, regulations, or the terms and conditions of the Federal award do not require a financial statement audit of the auditee, the auditee may elect to have a program-specific audit.
