“Early on, I was inspired by FQHCs’ essential role in healthcare,” said Matt. “As a business advisor, my goal became to enhance their financial strength and understanding, ultimately improving the healthcare outcomes for the communities they serve. Matt’s commitment spans the full spectrum of care, from biological to behavioral and from social to environmental. Most recently, his work included a tremendous investment with industry leaders as Massachusetts’ healthcare reimbursement model changed and as its new payment methodology was developed. Beyond this, he worked tirelessly with all types of New England healthcare agencies irrespective of their relationship with AAFCPAs on ways to track, report, spend, measure, and monitor the success of healthcare-specific provider relief funding during the COVID-19 pandemic. This included agencies that had never before handled federal funding.
“As leader of AAFCPAs’ Healthcare practice and as a recognized industry expert, Matt works steadfast and enthusiastically with those in the healthcare field, whether clients or not, with internal staff, and with industry decision makers,” explained Carla McCall, CPA, CGMA, Managing Partner at AAFCPAs. “His selfless giving has been an inspiration to all in our organization and to all of those he has served in our communities.”
