AAFCPAs would like to make Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) clients aware that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has earmarked $240 million to help its health centers meet rising demand for mental health and substance use disorder services. Applicants must be Health Center Program award recipients with an active H80 grant award. A technical assistance (TA) webinar is scheduled Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 2:00-3:15 PM ET to assist applicants.

This opportunity includes $200 million for ongoing service expansion funding and an additional $40 million in first-year one-time funding. Funds are expected to support approximately 400 awards for use by health centers to expand mental health and substance use disorder services including medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, thereby increasing patient access. Applications are due in Grants.gov on May 22, 2024 and in HRSA Electronic Handbooks (EHBs) on June 21, 2024.
