AAFCPAs, a U.S. Top 100 CPA and consulting firm, is expanding its talent community with the addition of three talented and accomplished professionals. Their backgrounds span education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors, bringing a combination of technical depth and practical insight that enhances AAFCPAs’ ability to deliver proactive, results-oriented solutions for complex client needs.

Ahmatjan advises charter schools, private schools, and mission-driven nonprofits on aligning financial operations with strategic goals. He focuses on compliance, reporting, and governance, guiding clients through distinct funding models and regulatory obligations. Ahmatjan helps boards and finance committees deliver and understand complex reporting, strengthen internal controls, and design scalable financial processes. Based in Virginia, he holds an MBA in accounting and graduated at the top of his class with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Automation. Outside work, he enjoys traveling, workouts, reading, and exploring new places with his spouse and their dogs.

Joseph provides audit and consulting solutions to multi-service health and human services organizations, including Federally Qualified Health Centers, skilled nursing facilities, and nonprofits focused on aging, disability, and behavioral health. He guides clients through complex regulatory and reporting requirements including 340B audits, cost reports, and state/city-specific filings, such as those in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia. Joseph leads engagement teams from planning through completion, ensuring streamlined financial statement audits. He identifies opportunities to address challenges and improve outcomes through integrated solutions. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stockton University, is pursuing his CPA licensure, and lives in New Jersey. He spends his free time on the golf course or traveling with his family.

Leah supports AAFCPAs’ Outsourced Accounting & Fractional CFO practice, where she helps clients and team members optimize accounting software platforms including QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and BILL.com. She assists with onboarding, user support, and reporting functions, while also managing data migrations, file conversions, and process improvements that enhance efficiency. Leah started her professional career at AAFCPAs advancing to the role of in-charge auditor and recently returned after exploring industry accounting roles. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Nichols College and an M.S. in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University. Outside of work, Leah enjoys hockey, pickleball, and time with her dog.
