Potential changes to IRC Section 280E may create new planning opportunities for cannabis businesses, with broader access to deductions and credits. Early preparation may help...
Users of CMS's MCReF and PS&R systems will soon see a new Identity Management (IDM) sign-in experience. Taking time to review the changes and verify login credentials can help ensure uninterrupted access to critical Medicare reporting systems.
AAFCPAs would like to make clients aware of an upcoming change to the CMS sign-in experience for organizations accessing the Medicare Cost Report e-Filing (MCReF) system and Provider Statistical & Reimbursement Reports (PS&Rs).
CMS recently launched a new Identity Management (IDM) sign-in experience designed to streamline access across CMS applications. While users will notice a different login process, the change does not affect the MCReF or PS&R systems themselves. Existing users will continue to use their current authentication methods, including the same IDM User ID and password or Login.gov credentials they use today. After successful authentication, users will be directed to their intended application.
Access to MCReF and PS&R is essential for obtaining reimbursement reports and submitting Medicare cost reports. Reviewing the updated sign-in process before your next filing or reporting deadline can help prevent access issues when these systems are needed most.
CMS has published a quick reference guide outlining the changes and the steps users should take to prepare.
