Carla McCall Honored for Outstanding Contributions to Local Economy and Community
AAFCPAs’ Carla McCall, CPA, CGMA, Managing Partner will be inducted to the WBJ’s Hall of Fame, which honors the lifetime achievements of professionals who have made significant contributions to the Central Massachusetts economy and community.
This speaks not only to Carla’s vision, advocacy, and influence but also serves as a testament to the company’s tradition of good corporate citizenship and the collective efforts of every member of the firm who has upheld its shared goals and values. As she accepts this honor, Carla acknowledges that it would not have been possible without the contributions and collaborative spirit of everyone at AAFCPAs including those involved in job creation, in client success, in giving back, in mentoring rising professionals, and in community engagement.
Carla joins Anthony Consigli, CEO of Consigli Construction in Milford, and Warner Fletcher, director of Fletcher Tilton in Worcester in the WBJ Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
“I am grateful to receive this honor and for the opportunity to be a part of such a remarkable firm,” Carla explained. “Every accomplishment we’ve achieved, every milestone we’ve reached, has been driven by the collective dedication of each individual at our firm. This honor reflects our shared commitment to excellence and our unwavering determination to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Since accepting her role as Managing Partner over a decade ago, Carla has helped to drive the firm’s revenue growth from $16M to $63M by the close of 2023. During her tenure, the company launched its 10 Percent Back to Nonprofits program, donating 10 percent of its net profit annually to philanthropic causes including beneficiaries in central Massachusetts. During the peak of the pandemic, Carla also led the company’s Covid Task Force to help clients respond to new challenges faced including a rapid transition to a remote workforce and the management of stimulus funding, such as the Paycheck Protection Program, Provider Relief Funds, Employee Retention Tax Credits, and Shutter Venue Operators grants.
