AAFCPAs Partner Jeffrey Mead to Present on Big Data at the AAA 2016 Northeast Region Meeting

AAFCPAs Partner Jeffrey Mead, CPA, CGMA will present an educational workshop at the American Accounting Association (AAA) 2016 Northeast Region Meeting in October 2016. This technical forum is part of AAA’s educational programs to explore current issues and topics of interest to accountants, accounting educators, and researchers.
Jeffrey will explore how big data and analytics are transforming the assurance process, and identify key skills required of 21st century internal and external auditors. Proper education will play a key role in developing technical competencies to appropriately leverage big data and analytics.
“Companies are realizing that big data may be leveraged to identify issues and opportunities not possible via traditional tools and techniques, and those with the skills to understand and make decisions based on analytics of big data will be high in demand,” said Jeffrey Mead.
Jeffrey is an audit partner in AAFCPAs Commercial Assurance practice, specializing in providing solutions to privately-held businesses. Jeffrey strives to use the audit process as a fulcrum point to leverage opportunities and to provide high-value, innovative solutions for clients.
