Chris Consoletti, Esq.

Chris is a consulting attorney at AAFCPAs, working in conjunction with the firm’s multi-disciplinary team of CPAs and focusing primarily on tax-exempt organizations. He brings expertise in private foundations, lobbying regulations, multi-state filing and registration requirements, Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT), charitable solicitation regulations, IRS Form 990 best practice presentation and disclosure requirements, along with organizational formations and dissolutions. He also provides effective tax planning and research, tax compliance, charitable planning, and asset protection solutions for trusts and estates.

Chris advises clients on entity formation, management and board structure, executive compensation, limited liability protection, and the applicable laws of relevant states and jurisdictions. Additionally, he evaluates and assesses opportunities and risks associated with complicated tax challenges or controversies.

Working with private foundations, he advises on distribution requirements, taxable expenditures, expenditure responsibility rules, jeopardizing investments, self-dealing sanctions, conversions, and dissolutions when applicable. Beyond this, he closely monitors the impact and necessary operational changes in response to changing tax code and relevant state and local laws. His accumulated experience in compliance, law, and consulting allows him to address complicated legal and tax matters in a straightforward and comprehensible way.
