Angie is a leader in AAFCPA’s Commercial Audit Practice. She provides assurance and consulting solutions to diverse businesses, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, professional service firms, and biotech and fintech companies. She provides insight to start-ups, including private equity and venture backed companies, on policies, procedures, and best practices in internal controls and risk management along with efficient scaling through growth. As a CPA with international background, Angie advises international clients on unique complexities related to cross-border operations, including foreign currency translation, intercompany consolidation, accounting for variable interest entities (VIE), and joint ventures. She is versed in various technical accounting issues, such as business combination, accounting for complex equity, and debt instruments.
Angie earned an International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Certificate from American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She has expertise auditing clients that follow IFRS and assisting clients with unique financial reporting requirements in line with international accounting regulations.
A member of AAFCPAs’ Commercial Accounting & Assurance committee, and AAFCPAs’ Lease Taskforce and CECL Taskforce, she is dedicated to keeping clients apprised of accounting standards changes and their impact on business operations and reporting. She assists AAFCPAs’ clients in implementing new accounting standards, including the recent lease accounting standard (Topic 842) and the current expected credit loss standard (Topic 326). She has been a resource to clients throughout the COVID pandemic on accounting and reporting requirements related to government stimulus funding.
Angie was a participant in AAFCPAs’ inaugural Innovation Lab Changemaker Challenge, driven to identify, develop, and execute novel approaches to drive progress. She is an in-house trainer on diverse topics, such as audit efficiency and reporting requirements related to cash flow and consolidations. She is also an active alumnus at Suffolk University and a proud graduate of Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Angie is passionate about coaching young professionals at AAFCPAs on career paths in public accounting, professionalism, and innovation. She has been serving AAFCPAs’ clients with distinction since 2016 and is the recipient of the AAFCPAs Client Service Excellence Award in 2021.
