Dan is a member of AAFCPAs’ specialized Employee Benefit Plan Audit & Consulting Practice with extensive expertise in the Department of Labor’s stringent rules and regulations for reporting and disclosure under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). He oversees employee benefit plan audits and advises plan sponsors on ERISA compliance requirements including those associated with administering 401(k), 403(b), defined benefit, and health and welfare plans.
Dan ensures an efficient assurance process and provides valuable insights to improve operations and reduce risk. He proactively communicates with plan sponsors, custodians, and any third-party administrators to allow adequate notice to aggregate requested documents. He also monitors status closely to manage deliverables and ensure filing deadlines are met. Serving as performance manager, he provides coaching and leadership to new team members as they travel along their professional journey. Dan is currently pursuing his CPA credential.
