Sarah is a member of AAFCPAs’ specialized Employee Benefit Plan Audit & Consulting Practice. In this role, she provides expertise in the Department of Labor’s rules and regulations for reporting and disclosure under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Sarah supervises employee benefit plan audits and advises plan sponsors on ERISA compliance requirements including those associated with administering 401(k), 403(b), defined benefit, and health and welfare plans.
Sarah ensures the assurance process is efficient and minimally disruptive, providing valuable advice to improve operations and reduce risk. This involves proactive communication with the plan sponsor, custodians, and third-party administrators to ensure all parties have adequate notice to aggregate requested documents. She closely monitors status and completion to ensure client expectations are met and deliverables are provided on-time to meet filing deadlines.
