AAFCPAs is pleased to announce the addition of Wendy Smith, CPA as Consulting CFO, Processes & Systems within the firm’s growing Business Process & IT Consulting Practice. This growth comes in response to growing client demand for support with process and systems efficiencies.
“I’m thrilled to incorporate my broad-based experience across financial operations and business process management to notably enhance client environments,” she explained. Wendy holds a Master of Science in finance from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Delaware. She brings more than a decade of executive-level, hands-on experience in financial operations, IT systems, and business processes within global public corporations through privately held for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Wendy works collaboratively with AAFCPAs’ clients to analyze their environment, evaluate objectives, and present suitable options. She then walks clients through the end-to-end process—counseling on policy and standards design, refining procedures and internal controls, managing implementation, and training staff to ensure the most efficient and effective use of new technologies.
“As more organizations look to streamline their operations and improve quality within remote and hybrid environments, we see increasing demand for automation, risk mitigation, cloud-based collaborative budgeting, and internal controls,” explained Carla McCall, CPA, CGMA, Managing Partner of AAFCPAs. “Wendy brings the unique blend of experience our clients need along with an open and collaborative communication style that melds perfectly within our culture.”
