Erin Cann on advancing innovation.
Erin Cann, MBA, a senior accountant in the audit practice, received this year’s Innovation Award for her efforts to streamline processes and champion new firmwide initiatives. Erin has helped introduce automation tools that reduce manual steps in audit engagements, giving teams more time to focus on critical issues.
Her work shows how small process changes, made thoughtfully, can improve how teams collaborate and deliver for clients.
Shannon Veilleux on leading with inclusion and purpose.
Shannon Veilleux, CPA, received the 2025 Inclusion & Belonging Award for her work both with clients and as an active leader in AAFCPAs’ Inclusion & Belonging Council. In this role, Shannon recommends and shapes initiatives that help foster a more inclusive workplace, supporting a culture where every team member feels valued.
Her ongoing involvement in the Council demonstrates how intentional leadership can strengthen both the firm and the experience of those who work here.

Chris Bango, audit manager, received the 2025 Joel Aronson Character Award, a partner-nominated honor that reflects integrity, dedication, and a sustained commitment to supporting colleagues, clients, and communities. Chris is known for his hands-on support and for following through on commitments, both in client service and in developing the next generation of leaders at AAFCPAs.
Through his example, Chris reminds us that character shows up in the choices we make, big and small, and in the way we support those around us.
