Jordan Shaw

Jordan is a prized member of AAFCPAs’ Technology & Process Advisory, responsible for providing business intelligence & productivity solutions, with a focus on robotic process automation (RPA). He helps clients navigate the future with confidence by tapping into the power of data analytics, robotics, and cognitive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Businesses are changing, moving faster, needing to do more with less, and they are deploying new technologies. Jordan brings productivity solutions that fit the context of this marketplace. He serves as a process engineer, technology implementer, solution developer, and client advisor. He listens patiently & intently to stakeholders, including those most familiar with current processes and systems. He probes to help uncover key mission outcomes and recognize automation opportunities.

Jordan has extensive hands-on experience using state-of-the-art RPA programs and tools, as well as rigorous analytical capabilities using macros and scripting. He leverages technology and his pragmatic mindset to provide meaningful process documentation, and impactful business process re-engineering (BPR) and process improvement.

Some examples of projects Jordan has improved through robotic process automation include:

• Tedious, repetitive report creation
• Data transformation and visualization
• Standardized communication with automated distribution
• Organization and tracking of projects/requests

Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Jordan “automated his way out of a job” at Covidien LP and provided RPA solutions for Medtronic, both leaders in health tech. He learned to program at the age of 12. When not programming, Jordan continues to nourish his passion for DIY with word working, gardening, and cooking.
